Wow…the hubby was VERY helpful!

For those that have read my blogs before, you know one of my chief compaints is that my husband is not very supportive in my weight loss journey.  He travels 7 months out of the year, so when he is home it gets lazy.  YES part of that is my fault, but I have asked for his help(deal with the kids so I could exercise, certain foods cooked, not eat out or drink so much, etc.) so I could be productive and I had not gotten it.

So he came home yesterday afternoon.  He is hopefully going to be home for a week.  First great thing he did(other than hugs & kisses) was offered to take the youngest to swim class so I could workout.  Next, he was in the mood for steaks for dinner….he stopped at the store and bought that…but also bought pork chops and chicken breasts and grilled everything outside in 15 degree weather.  This is a MAJOR step in the right direction.  Another biggie……as soon as he saw me, he told me that you could see how hard I am working and that he could see in my face, my hips and my legs that I have lost weight.  Tomorrow night we do not have any of the kids….we are a blended family so they will be with their other parents….I suggested that we go to the Y and try to play racquetball and he said yes!  I am soooo excited!

Wow! Can your husband possible call my husband and have a little chat with him? LOL

That’s wonderful that he’s helping and being supportive.

Racquetball sounds fun and scary all at the same time to me. I would probably end up treating it more like Dodgeball. LOL

    Hugggggggggggs,
    Shan

WOW having the hubby on board is awesome! You know sometimes it just takes them a little longer :o) So keep it up and have a great time playing raquetball. I’m with Shan on this one…I’d end up with a broken nose or something hahaha!

Yeah I am a little nervous about playing with him! hehehe We are both VERY competitive…but I also have to baby my knee along, so I think because of that we will go a little easy.

Getting him on board…..it was one day, so I am still going to press him until it becomes a habit. I have been asking him for this for almost 2 years.

I am so happy for you that your hubby is onboard and being so supportive. My hubby is so fickle he hops on and off so often. I have come to the conclusion that I am doing this for me with him or without him. I will support him, but I will not let myself fall. I will help him when he asks me and not butt in unless he does. I am hoping that eventually he hops on board and stays there, maybe he will when he sees what I am accomplishing for me!
    Have a good one!
