Trying to get over being sick.
The kids have all been sick and of course, they passed their colds onto me. For some reason, though, I have had it a million times worse than they had it. It started Wed. and just this morning I finally feel alright….definately not 100%, but alot better than I did. Needless to say, my food and exercise have not been great since about Thursday. I just had not an ounce of energy to get a workout in and the majority of food that I ate was in the form of soup. I can’t remember the last time I felt that sick.
BUT I feel alot better. I am going to take a babystep today and get on the elliptical since my living room is full of sleeping children. LOL I am sure I won’t make it long on the elliptical, but something is surely better than nothing.
Last night we went to a get together and I made Cheesy Bean Rollups and had the hubby make artichoke & Spinach dip. Both are from one of my WW magazines and I was very proud that I stuck to that for the most part in eating there. With all the other food there, I only ate 5 points of that…and that was mostly in chips! Most of the people were hanging out in the kitchen, but I knew if I stayed in there I would eat alot more, so I made it a point to get into the living room with one of my friends.
On tap for today is dinner at my in laws……this is always danger and I have avoided going there since I restarted my weight loss efforts. I know there is not going to be anything remotely healthy on the table. Soooooo I will make sure that I eat something before we go over there. Tonight, I am not sure how many of the kids will be here. The hubby just left this morning for Arizona on a job and while I have his kids here now, not sure if they are staying the night or going home later……will find that out. Either way, it will be fairly easy to stay in control with food in my own house.
